Don’t bash the developer because they don’t have a solution for your exact use case.
“Be careful” here could be translated to “Read the Readme”. I’m using a provider now (and have used 3 others in the past) that do not require a mac address, and offer access to an m3u. You’re claim of “never coming across a provider that doesn’t require a mac address” (paraphrasing), is baseless. This will not work if you’re using a stalker based IPTV provider. Telly provides support for Plex users with access to an m3u playlist. Once again… stop spreading misinformation.
